Overview:

The Camfed Internship offers you hands-on exposure into the nonprofit world where you will be working alongside an active team focused on social changes. Therefore, this internship would give you insights regarding international development, education specifically about issues concerning women rights.

Responsibilities:

  • Involve yourself actively in planning and implementing different projects.
  • Help with research activities geared towards developing programs.
  • Work together with others to come up with interesting content for different social media platforms as well as other communication modes.
  • Aid in monitoring and assessing ongoing program activities.
  • Take part in group gatherings then contribute towards strategic talks.
  • Conduct some clerical work which may be needed by the team from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Either currently enrolled or has recently graduated from a Bachelor’s Degree program related to International Relations, Education or Social Sciences.
  • In-depth investigation skills.
  • Writing fluency with good listening abilities included too.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
  • Research papers written by experienced professionals should be read before beginning any new project especially one involving research paper writing because it is always useful to be aware of what experts think on some topic. Passion for education, gender equality and internationally development.
  • Working alone or in a team
  • A nonprofit organization or any other similar institution experience is a bonus.

Requirements:

The internship will run for at least three months. Although no remuneration is given to the staff taking up this office; however interns will be guided and developed further from it. Interns are required to work for 20-30 hours weekly, depending on the number of commitments they have academically.
